It's finally here! The moment we have all been waiting for, Danielle's dream closet has been finished! After days of worrying and little obstacles threatening to ruin the whole project, it is finally done.
There it is in all it's glory. Days before completion the contractors called to let Danielle know they set the fire alarm off. (Can you imagine the two dogs? They must have gone crazy). Before that the contractors found the wardrobes not put together correctly for them to drill into the wall. All the havoc is the price to pay for a perfect dream closet.
The pups are feeling tired too from this anxiety driven event, but now are more relaxed at the shop with dog mom, Danielle.
She is putting all the clothing, shoes, and other accessories away in the new closet as we speak. The first part was building but now the real work comes into play by organizing, color coding, and finding a new home for those material goods. There is even talk about a secret, invite only, closet party. Will you be on the list?
We already know that summer means we will be sitting in the sun longer and our skin will get tanner and some of our bronzers will be out of date because of the new glow we have achieved.
Here are some bronzers that will keep that glow going!
My top ten are slightly different than the ones in the picture above, but believe me these bronzers will be worth the read!
Mac Bronzing Powder ($25)- This is one of my all time favorite bronzers. It comes in a variety of shades and will keep your skin look fabulous!
NARS Bronzing Powder- Laguna ($39)- This is a brown based bronzer that has hints of gold shimmer for a more glowing complexion.
Bobbi Brown Bronzing Powder ($40)- If you want a more matte bronzer, this is the one to get! No shimmer, all natural.
Lorac TANtalizer Baked Bronzer ($33)- There is also a travel size for $8! This bronzer definitely has a shimmer for a sun-kissed look.
IT Cosmetics Vitality Glow Anti-Aging Matte Bronzer ($34)- This high end bronzer will give you that matte, airbrushed look and has a high pigmentation.
NYC Sun 'n' Bronze ($4.99)- Just because it's from the drugstore does not mean it won't give you a flawless bronzed look. This bronzer has four shades you swirl together to get the perfect bronze.
Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer ($30)- For that all over deep tan. This bronzer is infused with cocoa powder gives a shine free tan.
Rimmel London Natual Bronzer ($4.99)- In my opinion, this is the best drugstore matte bronzer and is comparable to some of the high end bronzers for less.
Guerlain Terracotta Bronzing Powder ($42.50)- This is a super long lasting bronzer for those babes who don't have time to reapply and are going from event to event.
Benefit's Sun Beam ($26)- This is a liquid bronzer with a gold shimmer to it. I've heard it's a vacation in a bottle!
Boyfriend jeans are loose, baggy jeans that sit on your hips or waist. There are a few ways you can style these bad boys and rips or holes in them are so fab!
Boyfriend jeans and heels are the move. Always. It makes this trend so much more dressy. Above she has paired these ripped jeans with nude heels and an off the shoulder sweater for an everyday, laid back look.
For a dressier look, pair these jeans with black heels, a black silky top, and a bold necklace to revamp your ensemble.
You can also wear boyfriend jeans with canvas shoes or other flats. Tee shirts and jeans will never go out of style.
Sandals, a hat, and a stripped shirt make you look put together but still is super comfortable. I would recommend wearing this as an everyday look with simple eye makeup and a bold lipstick.
Whether you want to dress up or dress down, boyfriend jeans should b a staple in your wardrobe. It is so versatile and can go with almost anything for almost any occasion.
Arabella Jane Jewelry are handmade necklaces, bracelets, and earring from vintage chandeliers, broaches, and other items from the past. Recently, they have created their Summer 2015 look book and Don Me Now has provided clothing to go with these beautiful pieces.
Each piece is created with a variety of beads and stones in a wide range of colors. The necklace to the right has dalmatian jasper beads with a flower broach as the center piece. Pairing that necklace with a bold yellow dress will make peoples heads turn.
Although this piece is not paired with an outfit, we thought it was a gorgeous necklace that would look good with any neutral top and jeans.
This fun muted grapefruit dress has the potential for a girls night or brunch! (And you know we love mimosas). The Arabella Jane peach necklace with an off centered white beaded center has us dreaming of a fun summer ensemble.
You can find the rest of the look book on their website here and click on the look book link! Or you could come in to the Don Me Now store to find your perfect accessory from Arabella Jane Jewelry.
Finding the right mascara can be a nightmare! Especially when there are thousands on the market. Here are some of our favorite mascaras and ones you need to try!

Essence Get Big Lashes ($3.99): Don't be fooled by the small price, this mascara will lengthen and volumize.
Maybelline Volume Express The Colossal Lashes ($6.85): All I can say is this will give you length! For those short lash babes this is the right match for you.
Maybelline Volume Express The Rocket ($6): This is my current favorite and is comparable to Benefit's Their Real! mascara. They are the full package in my opinion. They give length, volume, and not clumpy at all!
Rimmel ScandalEyes Retro Glam ($5.99): Curvy! This mascara will give those lashes curl and length for a wide eyed look.
Smashbox Full Exposure ($20): This mascara will give you volume without flaking.
Too Faced Better Than Sex ($23): WOW! This product will make your lashes look amazing. Length, volume, and no clumps! This is hands down my favorite high end mascara product.
Sephora Outrageous Curl ($12): So this may not be a "high end" product because of the price but you can't find it in the drugstores. This formula will curl your lashes without a lash curler! I use this mascara with the Maybelline Volume Express The Rocket to achieve perfect lashes everyday.
IT Cosmetics 5 in 1 ($24): This mascara is especially to eliminate clumps and stiffness.
Benefit's Roller Lashes ($24): When applying this mascara you might need to apply a few layers, but don't be fooled! This mascara will lift, separate, and lengthen those limp lashes.
In the year of 2015, there have been many style trends ranging from boyfriend jeans to crochet knit tops. Another trend in the jewelry department is minimalist jewelry. This is more for an everyday look and to add a hint of sophistication to your outfit.
You can even layer multiple pieces to get your desired look. Some places to find these simple pieces are www.baublebar.com, www.amazon.com, or even right in the Don Me Now store!
If you go to the Lightweight Layers on the Must List, you will find a variety of necklaces, bracelets, and rings.
Some of their jewelry can be very expensive, but at Don Me Now we have similar styles for much less! If you want a specific piece of jewelry you can call the store or email firstname.lastname@example.org to see if we carry it. We can even ship it right to your door!
The messy bun is one of the worlds greatest ironies. It's a look that requires a small amount of effort to look effortless. This look can be for an everyday look for school or for going to grab coffee with friends. It keeps your hair out of your face while still being styled.
First, pull your hair into a loose ponytail, as high or as low as you’d like it. Don’t use a comb or worry about your strands being perfectly slicked back.
Separate the hair in your ponytail into two or three sections and tease. Teasing is the key step that totally changed our bun game—it gives you the volume and messy texture you need to pull off the look and keeps your bun from ballerina status.
Separate your teased hair into two sections and wrap the hair in opposite directions, as you would when creating a topknot. But, instead of pinning your hair neatly in, secure your hair with a bobby pin about an inch from the bottom of your strands, leaving the ends to fray around your bun and create a messy effect. If you feel like the body of your bun is too tight, gently pull it apart with your hands or the end of a comb. We also like to pull a few rogue pieces out around the face.
If you want your messy bun to look even more messy here is another way to achieve this look:
You simply take two sections and tie them in a knot and repeat! Pin down the ends and excess hair and your look is complete!
This post may not be style or beauty related but it is a cool new room decor hack to brighten your dressers or to put on your desk.
What you need:
1. A transparent jar or bottle with a good lid
2. Cotton balls
5. Food coloring or fabric dye (usually pinks and blues are the best, but you can choose any color that you like)
6. A pencil, straw, or other small stick
Make sure the bottle is all cleaned out. Then fill it less than half way with water.
Add one color of the food coloring and stir it with a straw or stick of your choice.
Add enough cotton to soak up the bottom of the water dye mixture. Also, add some glitter and swirl it around to evenly spread it.
This step is slightly different than the last one. First, you are going to put more cotton on top of the first level, to create a second layer. Then make a solution of water and another color of the food coloring in a separate container and pour that solution over the second layer of cotton. Then add more glitter and spread it around with a straw.
Add as many layers as your heart desires to make the perfect little nebula.
Get even more creative with wacky bottles and colors!
Everyone wants that dewy, glistening look that plays up your best features. Highlighting (done correctly) can make your cheek bones look higher, your nose look slimmer, and your lips bigger. Here are some high end and drugstore products to achieve the perfect glow.
Let's start with drugstore, because lets face it cheaper can be just as good as those pricey products.
Nyx Liquid Illuminator ($7): This is my FAVORITE drugstore brand. period.
Elf Shimmering Facial Whip ($1): This product come in a variety of colors and can be used on eyes, lips, and face.
Essence Sun Club All In One (around $15): This is also a bronzer so I would be careful on where I put my brush in this one.
L'Oreal Magiclumi Highlighter ($9.99): Since this product comes in a stick it is easy to apply to the face.
Almay Wake Up Eyeliner and Highlighter Duo ($5.99): Perfect for the wake up and go kind of person who doesn't want a ton of products taking up space on the counter.
Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighter ($5.59): This product doubles as a concealer for a really dewy finish to the face.
Revlon Photoready Sunlights Face Illuminator ($12.99): Revlon's liquid highlighter evens out skin tone and brightens your face for a natural glow.
Here are some high end products for those who prefer to splurge a little.
High Beam by Benefit ($26): Very comparable to the Nyx Liquid highlighter and I also LOVE Benefit products. It does come with a little brush to get a precise highlight.
NARS Powder Highlighter ($30): I would recommend this powder highlighter for those babes with oily skin and this can also set your liquid highlighter.
Too Faced Candlelight Glow ($30): This doubles as a shimmery blush and I would use this for an effortless glow.
Watts Up by Benefit ($30): Another great Benefit product! This products has a double end and is a cream to powder highlighter. One end is the cream and the other is a blender to get that perfect glow.
theBalm Cindy- Lou Manzier ($20-24): This is another highly pigmented powder for a shimmery look.
We LOVE the beach wave look! Here is a way to bottle up the ocean to make your hair look like you just got home from a relaxing beach day.
Here is what you need:
-1 cup hot water
-1-2 tsp sea salt (more for a beachier look)
-1 tbsp coconut oil, argan oil, or ½ of each (we like using both!)
-½ tsp leave-in conditioner
-dab of pomade or water-based gel
Add the hot water into the spray bottle.
Take all other ingredients and add it to the bottle and shake!
Spray in hair and voila! You have an easy messy wave for a casual everyday look. We recommend you use the spray on a day you have not washed your hair so that your hair will hold this look all day.
